◎簡　　介

　　友善謹(jǐn)慎的新西蘭領(lǐng)隊(duì)羅布·霍爾（杰森·克拉科 Jason Clarke 飾），他的隊(duì)伍名為“冒險顧問”；而斯科特·費(fèi)雪（杰克·吉倫哈爾 Jake Gyllenhaal 飾）則風(fēng)趣搞怪，他帶領(lǐng)來自西雅圖的“瘋狂山脈”登山隊(duì)。他們相互競爭，又彼此幫助。

　　兩支隊(duì)伍中的勇士們來自各行各業(yè)，他們中有郵差、記者、醫(yī)生，還有一名來自日本的職業(yè)女性。這些登山者看似平凡, 但每個人背后都有一個屬于自己的夢想，激勵著他們前往海拔8000米以上、氧氣稀薄的珠峰。在攀登過程中，他們的身體機(jī)能急速下降，在應(yīng)對體力衰竭、缺氧、雪盲的同時，他們又極為不幸地遭遇了一場劇烈的暴風(fēng)雪，因此命懸一線。
